Toes on the Nose introduces the "2nd Wind Project" Check it out

The “2nd Wind Project” is Toes on the Nose’s personal effort at reducing the carbon footprint of old discarded sailboat sails. The recycled sailcloth is used to produce handmade, limited edition board shorts, board bags and beach bags that are manufactured entirely in California.

Each garment, individually, uniquely, and locally crafted, results in a higher-than-average traditional board short cost, retailing between $95 to $125. Customers however, are happy to pay the premium for its distinctiveness. Production of these one-of-a-kind board shorts, board bags and beach bags are already in the works and will be available soon.

The 2nd Wind Project was released in January at Orlando, Florida’s Surf Expo and at the recent Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, Utah. Orders are coming in from boutiques, sailing clubs and surf shops across the United States, Hawaii and throughout the Caribbean.

“The 2nd Wind Project gives us a chance to use recycled material in creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces to incorporate into our collection,” said Richard Allred, Toes on the Nose president. “As a company dedicated to the art of surfing, it is important for us to do our part in keeping our oceans and earth clean.”

"Surf Mommas" -

Why let your kids have all the fun! Surfing is a blast and a good workout, so let our experienced women instructors get you started. Get in the water and experience the feeling of riding a wave while your kids are at school. Primary instruction will be given by Kirsten Allred, a National Champion and World Rated Longboard Surfer.


"Super Groms"-

Learn to surf in this all boys surf class taught by all boys! 'Super Grom' boys will learn the basics of surfing, ocean safety and surf etiquette in this low pressure, high excitement enviornment. Gather your buddies, brothers, or meet other boys learning to surf. primary instruction will be given by Toes on the Nose surf pros.

"Girls Rule"-

Learn to surf in this all girls surf class taught by all girls! Girls will learn the basics of surfing, ocean safety and surf etiquette in this low pressure, high excitement environment. Gather your friends, sisters, or meet other girls learning to surf. Primary instruction will be given by Kirsten Allred, a National Champion and World Rated Longboard Surfer.

"Sunday Funday"-

Make Sundays your family surf day! Spend your Sundays learning how to surf with your family and friends. Sunday surfers will learn the basic skills of surfing, ocean safety and surf etiquette. Primary instruction will be given by Kirsten Allred, a National Champion and World Rated Longboard Surfer. Wetsuit and surfboards are provided for a $5 material fee, payable to instructor.
